Tuareg Berber Leather Wall Hanging
These beautiful leather panels were originally used as tent window coverings and to decorate the tent's interior by the Tuareg people of Northern Africa.
The Tuareg were traditionally nomadic and traveled in camel caravans along trade routes in the Saharan desert until the mid-20th century.
This panel is handmade, painted, engraved and embroidered. This repurposed wall hanging is in good condition with some wear due to age and usage.
Dimensions: this panel measures approximately 22 x 36 inches from the wooden rod to the fringe.
